When flights are too expensive or sold out, you’d be surprised by what you can find on Amtrak. From New York, you can go all the way to Montreal for just $63. Granted, it’s 11 hours, but if you like reading, watching the Adirondacks go by and drinking wine, it’s a great option.

This was so exciting for me. I did the interview on literally a few hours sleep over 48 hours (Wojtek was 2 weeks old) but I think I managed to share some pretty solid travel tips. Most importantly, I was able to encourage people to ride Amtrak, stare out the window, and drink.
